We have a very strict regimen when we create a litter of puppies.
Yes, I did say create.
Our breeding's are planned and researched thoroughly.
We feel that anytime a person takes it upon themselves to breed dogs they have an incredible responsibility for those puppies for their entire life, not just while they are with us for 8 weeks.
That is why we offer lifetime support and a lifetime return policy.
Our puppies are born in our home in a whelping box made just for them.
We are there to help out or just sit with Mom during the birthing process; letting her do her maternal duties but always ready to step in, if assistance is needed.
Often times, we are simply the lap that she wants to lay her head on between deliveries.
Each puppy is immediately given a colored collar and recorded as to sex, color, weight and time of delivery.
I sleep by the whelping box for the first 3 weeks after the puppies are born.
Always making sure everyone is warm and secure, getting enough to eat and that Mom is reassured that she is the most wonderful girl in the world.
Our puppies are held, petted and hugged constantly by everyone in our family.
We socialize our puppies at home, making them a better companion for you.
Paper training is started at 3 weeks and soft food is offered at 3-4 weeks of age---they dive right in!
A crate is attached to the whelping box at 5 weeks so they become familiar with it.
At 6 weeks we start additional training that will be appropriate for each pup, i.e. stacking for show homes, basic rag work for working homes.
We evaluate and temperament test each puppy.
This way, puppies are placed in homes that will be appropriate to the results of the test.
Some puppies are high drive and some are not---a family who wants a mellow, laid back Doberman isn’t going to enjoy a high drive working prospect---no matter how cute he/she is when you first meet them.
Our puppies are usually placed with a spay/neuter agreement and Limited AKC paperwork, unless other arrangements have been made.
This simply means you cannot breed or show your dog in conformation.
Please remember, that I am always available for questions and guidance for the life of your Doberman.
I also enjoy seeing pictures and hearing about their adventures!
We believe that the people that own our Dobermans are some of the finest people in the world.
I believe we are an extended family.
Perhaps you too, will join us.
